Rebuilding the Railway
Tracklaying is ongoing and heading steadily towards Pont, which was the original destination of the Teifi Valley Railway
Our signal box will hopefully be returned to its museum status by Easter.
Once our track relaying reaches Pontprenshitw we intend
to reinstate a run round loop which was there
several years ago.
This will greatly increase the flexibility of the railway.
Anyone wishing to become involved in assisting us at the Teifi Valley Railway can find out more and get in touch via our Volunteer page
Our platform at Forest Halt has now been fully refurbished and has welcomed it's first visitors
The track is getting longer by the day..
With thanks to all of our buy a sleeper donators, the hard work of our volunteers and members of Mencap Ceredigion, our goal of reaching Pontprenshitw is in sight
We would also like to say a big thank you to Launceston Steam Railway for their help and support with our efforts.

Back in Action
After approximately 18 months and having been written
off as a viable concern, at 3pm on 18th August,
Teifi Valley Railway Limited commenced passenger carrying services.
Although only operating on a small section of track at
present we are daily, and piece by piece, rebuilding the line.
Today's train was a Ruston hauled single carriage.
Hopefully by the weekend we will be using our
Quarry Hunslet, Alan George and the track will be
that little bit longer.
The management would like to express their thanks
to the members of the team for all their hard work
and efforts in rebuilding the Teifi Valley Railway.
We would also like to thank members of the wider railway community with their support and offers of assistance.
Friendly staff will be happy to serve you with great coffee and yummy cakes, etc.
We look forward to seeing you.
Two of our Volunteers, Gail & Terry, were mowing the Park area when they uncovered some paving which turned out to be part of the original GWR Platform.
They continued excavating and revealed the original stonework which will be used as seating for a picnic area
Levelling the Track
Big thank you to Hefin Owen for levelling out
the track bed with his mini digger.
He can be contacted on 07989 409515 anytime,
as long as he is awake ;)
Weeding the Path
Many thanks to Trish and Alex from Mencap Ceredigion for their hard work in getting the path cleared of weeds.
Getting Ready for Track Laying
Our volunteers have been hard at work over the last few weeks getting ready to lay the new track.
There is still a lot of work to be done and if you would like to get involved please get in touch at email@example.com
You can also keep up to date with our progress and find
notification of our 'Track Laying Days' over on our Facebook page.
It's not just about laying the track..
Our volunteers have been hard at work at the railway - sanding, painting, weeding and all sorts of chores.
There is always something to be done, like making sure that Sergeant the Station Cat gets his breakfast on time.
Miniature Railway Extension
Great news - we have finished laying the running line on the
7 1/4 gauge extension 2 weeks ahead of schedule.
Work will now be concentrated on the 2' gauge.
