Due to the current health crisis and Government recommendations it has been decided that only the 4 local officers of the Society will attend the meeting. Reports will be presented and copies will be sent to members via the newsletter.
We do not feel it is advisable to postpone this year's AGM for the following reasons:
Firstly, there is no way of knowing when the crisis will end. Secondly, it would be impractical to arrange it later in the year as we will try to recoup lost revenue by running as often as it is practicably possible.
If any members have any matters they would like the officers to discuss please contact the railway by the 28th March 2020.
If for any reason the need arises an EGM can be called.

6th November 2019
At Henllan on 6 November we took delivery of 50 grade 1 sleepers which are enough for us to reach Pontprenshitw, to join up with the disused section of the railway. Thanks are due to Robin Berry for his kind donation.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like...
Our volunteers have been recovering the Christmas decorations from storage, ready to put them up in time for the Santa Specials which begin on December 9th.
New Signs and Tickets
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Jonathan and Liz Mann of Launceston Steam Railway for donating this fabulous sign and Edmonson-style tickets.
The Journey to Pont
Work has been progressing tirelessly in a bid to reach Pontprenshitw Station. Sleepers, ballast and rail have been laid which means we are progressing well and it should not be much longer before our trains can carry passengers to this destination as we only have about 130 yards to go.
The Busy Bee Cafe
A warm welcome awaits you at our popular Busy Bee Cafe where we now have a beautiful new kitchen with lovely modern units, worktops and splashbacks, the majority of which were fitted by one of our volunteer members, Alan Weavin with assistance from other volunteers.
Friendly staff will be happy to serve you with great coffee and yummy cakes, etc. We look forward to seeing you!
Henllan Platform Uncovered
Two of our volunteers, Gail and Terry, were mowing the park area when they uncovered some diamond paving which turned out to be part of the original GWR up platform.
They continued excavating to reveal the original stonework which will be used as the base for a picnic area.
16th June 2019
We are delighted to say that Sammy, our 1959 Simplex Motor Rail diesel, came back into service on Fathers' Day after an absence of several years.
It was great to see this lovely engine pulling trains again.
