The Museum
New for spring 2020 will be a small museum which is being established in the old signal box at Henllan. The museum will tell the story of the GWR Newcastle Emlyn Branch as well as other local railways. Also included will be a collection of artefacts and ephemera.
The signal box building itself is historic; it is the former Rhiwderin (or Rhiwderyn) Signal Box which formerly stood at Rhiwderyn Station on the Brecon & Merthyr Railway line west of Newport. The box is a Saxby & Farmer design, type 12b, and was erected in 1884.
Following closure, it was moved to the erstwhile Caerphilly Railway Centre later being transferred to the TVR.
